Organist Cees Schrama (ex-Ted Easton Combo, since 1957, and ex-Stax, 1967 till 1969) recorded his first solo singles in 1967 as Snuffy King and Crazy Casey. On this last LP he was accompanied by Rinus Gerritsen, George Kooymans and Jaap Eggermont of the Golden Earrings; in turn, Cees played on the Earrings' LP, 'Winter Harvest'. In 1969, Cees formed the Funky Eight (later Pressure Group) together with a number of studio musicians. Amongst the members were: Joop Scholten (g), Cees Kranenburg (dr, ex-Jayjays), Piet-Hein Veening (b) accompanied by a brass section. In 1970 Kranenburg was replaced by Louis Debij (ex-Threepenny Four, to Fungus). Cees Schrama gained notoriety as an announcer at a jazz programme called Session.
