Although the group members came from Christchurch originally they formed this
rock group in Auckland. They cut a further 45, “Five New Years“/“The
Fourteenth Knock“ (Polydor 2069 060) and a second album, “Nooks”
(Polydor 2390109) in 1976. “Fenris” spent one week in the charts in May
1975.
Taken from "Dreams, Fantasies and Nightmares" by Vernon Joynson, an extensive guide to Canadian / Australian / New Zealand and Latin American psych and garage music 1963 - 1976.
Hard as it is to believe, this was a group in New Zealand specialising in exactly the same kind of sound as Germany's Novalis, Hoelderlin and Satin Whale: romantic, synth-driven symphonic prog! Except the lyrics were of course in English.
